Acox challenges you to guide a fearless stickman through 30 tricky platform stages, using precise movement, wall climbs, and acrobatics to reach each portal.

A Small Stickman With a Big Climbing Challenge

Behind Acox’s colorful 2D visuals lies a platforming journey that demands keen observation and precise control. The stickman character can run, jump, wall-climb, and execute various agile moves to navigate areas filled with gaps, traps, and obstacles.

The goal of each level isn't simply to get from start to finish. You must locate and collect crystals, then activate a portal to unlock the path to the next challenge. Consequently, choosing the right route is just as important as having quick reflexes.

Thirty Stages, Increasing Pressure

Acox features a total of 30 levels, each presenting a unique layout of platforms and hazards. The early stages help you familiarize yourself with the movement mechanics, while later levels increasingly demand greater precision.

Gaps between platforms may be too wide for a standard jump to reach the target. In such cases, wall-climbing or chaining together multiple moves becomes essential. As you progress, memorizing the terrain and timing your actions correctly become increasingly critical.

There are no time limits forcing you to rush. You can pause to survey the entire area and plan your route before you start moving.

Timing Can Change Everything

Traps involving movement make the timing of your actions crucial. A sweeping blade might create a safe window for only a few seconds; move too soon, and your jump could end in instant failure.

Wide gaps require similar preparation. Before jumping, observe the platform ahead and determine whether you need to build momentum, change direction, or utilize wall-climbing abilities.

Instead of constantly rushing forward, try breaking each level down into smaller segments. Identify the nearest trap and a suitable landing spot before executing your next move. This approach is particularly useful in levels featuring a series of consecutive obstacles.

Acox Controls at a Glance

  • W: Move up or assist with wall-climbing maneuvers, depending on the situation.
  • A: Move left.
  • S: Move down.
  • D: Move right.

What Makes the Later Levels Harder?

Difficulty increases through level design rather than just a simple rise in speed. The early stages let you get comfortable with running and jumping before introducing larger gaps, walls, and traps.

In later levels, a single action is often not enough. You might need to jump, change direction, wall-cling, and then launch yourself to the next platform in one seamless sequence of movements.

It is this combination that gives each of the 30 levels a unique feel. Once you have mastered the controls, the challenge shifts from simply learning the inputs to mastering trajectories and timing.
